Pratt & Whitney has improved upon the OEM offering by designing parts that minimize oxidation, creep and metal temperature, which ultimately extends part life and reduces operating costs.

Tip shroud 3D contouring with cutter tooth removed and abradable coating added on shroud to further improve shroud life to meet 72,000-hour cumulative life.
Cooling distribution improved and peak temperature reduced through additional trailing-edge cooling holes—reducing trailing-edge creep—while not changing total internal cooling flow.
